SONIC PERFECTION

Engineered in the UK with cutting-edge aerospace technology for audio reproduction like no other. Every cabinet is built to eliminate unwanted resonance, giving you only what you’re meant to hear: audio, in its purest form.

Want to hear your music like never before?

TYPE HF1: A pro monitor for the real world

When engineers, audio consultants, or architects are designing a mastering suite or specifying gear for clients who know the difference between good and amazing, you need speakers that are as accurate as possible. The TYPE.HF1 isn't just an overdesigned cabinet with off-the-shelf drivers – it's what happens when aerospace engineers build a loudspeaker.

Why does this speaker exist?

TPI didn't aim to make another "audiophile" speaker. They set out to solve a real problem: how do you create a monitor that sounds identical in a Cheswick recording studio and a living room in North Finchley? The answer was obsessing over details that other manufacturers call "good enough."

Every TYPE.HF1 is hand-built in Leicester, England, using unique components. The drivers are designed from scratch, cabinet materials come from aerospace technology, and crossovers preserve what the artist intended.

What makes it different?

TPI's Elliptic Technology HF unit reveals treble without harshness or ringing – just crystal-clear detail that lets you hear into the mix.

The 6.5" Forever-Pure woofers handle everything from delicate midrange textures to serious low-end punch without strain. When the music demands it, they move air like they mean business.

The Cabinet

Most speaker cabinets are wooden boxes doing their best not to vibrate. The TYPE.HF1's cabinet uses aerospace-grade composites that don't just resist resonance – they eliminate it entirely.

If you're mixing a track and the speaker cabinet adds its own "sound," you're not hearing what you recorded. With the HF1, what you hear is exactly what's on the recording. No more, no less.

The Crossover

This is where most speakers fail. Traditional crossovers are like traffic jams for audio signals – they work, but create problems. TPI's Zero-Artefact crossover uses Phase-Beating Technology to keep the audio signal intact as it moves between drivers.

The result? Perfect time alignment, which translates to that "laser-focused" soundstage your clients and professional musicians will notice immediately.

Making them work in the real world

The TYPE.HF1 is a standmount design requiring proper stands and positioning. Get the tweeters at ear level (95-105cm for most people), give them breathing room from walls, and use quality isolation. We can help with optimum speaker placement and acoustic treatment.

Distance flexibility: Whether you're working nearfield (1-2 metres) or need more space (2-4 metres), the HF1 maintains its accuracy. Perfect for intimate mastering setups or larger control rooms.

Room Integration

The TYPE.HF1 doesn't require a perfect room to sound great. The controlled off-axis response delivers consistent results whether you're in a treated studio or challenging residential space. Less room correction needed, more time spent on the music.

Amp Matching

While the HF1 works with quality amplification across the board, it excels with TPI's PM165 or PM250 Power Modules. They're designed together as a complete system.

Why this matters

When you recommend the TYPE.HF1 to a client, you're not just specifying a speaker – you're providing a solution. Every pair is hand-matched and tested in TPI's anechoic chamber, ensuring predictable performance across multiple installations.

Got a client with multiple rooms? Each pair will sound identical. Working on a project where accuracy isn't negotiable? The HF1 delivers what was recorded, not what it thinks should be there.

Not for everyone

The TYPE.HF1 isn't for everyone, and that's exactly the point. It's for professionals who understand that in audio, "close enough" isn't good enough. It's for clients who can hear the difference between a great speaker and a truly exceptional one.

At Soundstage Hi-Fi, we work with consultants and integrators who demand the absolute best because their reputations depend on it. If you're curious about how the HF1 might fit your next project, let's talk. We can arrange a private demo, get you the technical documentation, or discuss how this speaker might solve your challenges.

We all have the same goal: we want our customers to hear their music collection exactly as the artist intended.

We have the TPI System in our main listening room.
