With Record Store Day 2026 approaching, we’d love you to celebrate all things vinyl and hi-fi with us at the shop this Saturday, 18th April, from 12-4pm. Feel free to bring your favourite records, and we’ll play them on our reference hi-fi system:
You’ll experience the Linn LP12 Turntable, dCS Lina DACX Streamer,dCS Rossini APEX Streaming DAC & Clock, D’Agostino Pendulum Amp, and Wilson Audio SabrinaV Loudspeakers - you’ll go deeper into your music than you’ve ever gone!
We’ve also refreshed the shelves with a vinyl restock; they’re packed full of essential classics from the likes of Aphex Twin, Bill Withers, MF DOOM, and Eric B & Rakim.
Spring is the perfect time for a tune-up, and we’ve had some lovely turntables in for service this month. Whether it’s a fine-tune or an upgrade in performance, Alan, our turntable expert, has been getting them back to their best - or even better! He’s been working on an LP12 where the customer wanted the plinth colour to match their interiors. Which custom Pantone finish would you get?
We’ve also expanded our Head-Fi listening section, with an extensive range of Meze Audio headphones, alongside Stax, and the new noise-cancelling Focal Bathys MG wireless headphones - ideal for travelling.
Jason Kennedy’s latest blog explores why ATC active loudspeakers are such a compelling choice for anyone who demands incredible sound and an ultra-minimalist set-up.
New in the shop, you’ll find the exceptional Rega P6 RS Turntable, alongside a selection of high-end hi-fi at some great prices in our Pre-owned section.
And if you do pop in on Saturday, you’ll also see our brand new Vitsoe shelving display - now home to even more vinyl, analogue & digital hi-fi, and books on music by Velocity Press - keep supporting the independents!
See you soon,
Dean

Music & CultureNew Boards of Canada LP on Warp Records!?
It’s been 13 long years since Scotland’s most reclusive duo, Boards of Canada, released an album. And there has been a collection of mysterious posters popping up around the world sporting their Hexagon sun logo. This surely means an imminent release of new music. They’ve not played live since 1995 - so maybe a tour to go with it? I doubt it.
Once the new music drops, we’ll definitely be having a listening session at the shop to celebrate. Get in touch if you’d like to reserve a spot.
