The Planar 6 RS (Rega Special) is built on an ultra-light Tancast 8 foam core plinth finished with a stunning metallised skin high-pressure laminate for improved rigidity. The plinth is mounted with the advanced RB880 precision tonearm, featuring an upgraded vertical bearing constructed using an aluminium and stainless-steel low-mass assembly, significantly improving both stability and rigidity.

This precision tonearm is expertly factory fitted and correctly aligned with the latest reference Nd9 moving magnet cartridge. The motor drive system is upgraded with a CNC aluminium dual pulley fitted with twin reference EBLT drive belts, powering a dual-layer clear float-glass 16mm platter for even greater start-up and speed stability.

The included Neo PSU MK2 turntable power supply provides convenient speed selection, advanced anti-vibration control, and electronic fine speed adjustment.
