The Radikal 2 is an LP12 upgrade comprising a DC motor, motor control unit, and power supply. It takes the performance of the Sondek LP12 to an entirely new level.

Radikal 2 improves in all three critical areas: Motor Control — a new FPGA-managed motor control unit (MCU) and the latest motor technology for ultra-smooth rotation; Motor — a DC motor design that generates negligible electromagnetic interference, with an all-new housing that decouples the motor from the deck more effectively and lower-noise voltage regulators; Power Supply — an improved board design with whisper-quiet supply rails, shorter signal paths, smaller componentry, and minimal overall noise, yielding Linn's all-time lowest noise floor.

The machined enclosure variant is made from solid aluminium (anodised black) to match a Klimax-level system.

To make things mechanically quieter than ever, an all-new acoustic housing decouples the motor from the deck more effectively. The motor itself features smaller, lower-noise components, making everything electrically quieter than ever too.
